Well Control

Petroleum ETC in partnership with Signa Engineering Corp. hosted the third annual Well Control Gulf of Mexico (WellCTRL). This two day event was held October 22-23, 2008 at the Omni Hotel at Westside in Houston, TX. The goal of this event was to foster interaction and accelerate the exchange of ideas between Well Control Specialists. WellCTRL sought to identify common Well Control issues in the Gulf Coast Region and plan collaborative action to address those issues. For 2008 we heard end-user presentation detailing experience with such topics as MMS updates and case histories, research results from key well control universities, managed pressure drilling, hurrican recovery operations overview, dual gradient drilling, and much more. Join us next year for the highly interactive WellCTRL Gulf of Mexico conference.
